The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has announced the redesign of its Web site with a variety of features including audio and video.
Indianapolis-based NAMIC said the site has dynamic news feeds powered by RSS (Really Simple Syndication) technology, audio podcasts from NAMIC's government affairs staff, Flash video, and a weekly Web log (blog) from NAMIC Chief Executive Officer and President Chuck Chamness.
“The redesigned Web site [www.namic.org] reflects the needs, demands and desires of those choosing to log on to NAMIC Online for news and information, educational and networking opportunities, services, and public policy and advocacy initiatives related to the property-casualty and mutual insurance industries,” said Jon Gorman, NAMIC member communications director.
“During the past five years, traffic to the site in terms of unique visitors has increased by more than 500 percent,” he added.
The new look is also designed to highlight the depth of insurance industry news coverage by prominently featuring more news headlines on the home page, said NAMIC. There will be improved site navigation with a drop-down menu featuring site content headings.
