Carrion, Laffitte & Casellas Inc., an insurance brokerage firm based in Puerto Rico, was named a partner firm of Columbus, Ohio-based Assurex Global, a privately held insurance brokerage group.
Carrion, Laffitte & Casellas Inc. joins 117 other Assurex Global Partners numbering more than 500 offices in 74 countries on six continents. Each partner is selected after being identified as the strongest insurance agency or brokerage in its respective region.
The firm, with headquarters in San Juan's financial district, was established in 2004 following the merger of CF&O Insurance Brokers Inc. and Carrion & Laffitte Inc. It is one of the top locally owned insurance brokers in Puerto Rico. The firm said it offers a variety of commercial risks and risk management services and specializes in handling clients with difficult risk profiles.
