The Professional Insurance Agents Western Alliance said Robert Hartwig, the incoming president of the Insurance Information Institute, will address its annual meeting next year in Las Vegas.
Mr. Hartwig, vice president and chief economist for the I.I.I., will become president of the organization with the retirement of current I.I.I. President Gordon Stewart at the end of this year.
PIA Western's Expo '07 meeting is scheduled for March 20-21, 2007. PIA Western said experts in business, sales, technology and more than 100 exhibitors are expected to attend the meeting.
"We put together a program packed with education, and attendees can choose from several different tracks," said Clark Sitzes, PIA Western Alliance executive vice president.
Mr. Sitzes said the group's goal has been "to develop an education track that will make an immediate difference in an insurance professional's life. The attendees will be able to take what they learn at Expo '07 and use it their first day back at the office."
