Computer Sciences Corporation recently released a new version of its independent claims and risk management software, Riskmaster. The new version, according to CSC, simplifies workflow and case management and reduces system ownership costs.

Riskmaster X features architecture and web portal models that are new to the self-insured marketplace. The portals feature a browser interface that integrates with other CSC and third-party, web-based applications, and allows clients to create one Internet-accessible hub for all claim-related functions.

The event-to-claim-management process allows companies to manage the life of a claim from first notice to final settlement, managing critical claim data including: property, casualty, general liability, workers' compensation, automotive liability, first reports of injury, 800-number reporting, accidents, incidents, professional liability, policies, actuarial reporting, and integrated disability management.

Additional new elements help with managing outside legal counsel, complying with the U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control, and evaluating policies for fraud.
