Widdicombe To Lead 21st Century Holding
NU Online News Service, June 11, 9: 39 a.m. EDT?21st Century Holding Company has tapped Richard Widdicombe as its new chief executive officer. Mr. Widdicombe, president for three subsidiaries of 21st Century Holding, assumed his new responsibilities yesterday.
Mr. Widdicombe, who has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, first joined 21st Century in November 1999. "He has been instrumental in bringing in new programs and talented employees into the organization," said Edward J. Lawson, president and chairman of the board for 21st Century Holding.
Based in Plantation, Fla., the company underwrites standard and non-standard personal auto, flood insurance, general liability insurance, mobile home insurance and homeowners' property-casualty in Florida. Additionally, it also offers financial services to its insureds as well as insureds at third-party insurance companies. Last year, it posted a net income of $4.6 million from more than $40 million in sales.
