IIABA Combines Meetings
NU Online News Service, May 22, 3:57 p.m. EDT ? The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America announced that in the next three years it plans to combine two annual meetings, the InfoXchange and the National Legislative Conference, into one.
The Alexandria, Va.-based association said the conferences would be held back to back in Washington, D.C., beginning in April 2006.
Robert A. Rusbuldt, IIABA chief executive officer, said that while both meetings have been very successful in the past, holding them both in the same location "will create new synergies" to showcase the "critical role" of agents and brokers to the nation's elected leaders.
The joint meetings are scheduled to be held at the Grand Hyatt Washington and the Washington Convention Center.
The InfoXchange will continue as a separate event until then; this year it will be held in Las Vegas, Sept. 21 to 24; next year in Orlando, Fla.; and New York City in 2005.
