Sen. Breaux To Address Agents

NU Online News Service, March 5, 9:45 a.m. EST?Sen. John Breaux, D-La., is scheduled to address independent agents attending the 27th Annual National Legislative Conference of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America next month.

The Alexandria, Va.-based association said Mr. Breaux is scheduled to speak during the April 3 breakfast session of the IIABA's National Legislative Conference.

The conference will run April 2-4 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C.

The senator is currently serving his third term in the Senate. Since 1993, he has been a chief deputy whip in the Democratic leadership.

He is a senior member of the Finance Committee; serves on the Rules Committee and the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. He is also the ranking member of the Special Committee on Aging. Mr. Breaux is a founder and past chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council.

Senate majority leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., has already been scheduled to speak during the April 3 breakfast session.
