Marsh Unveils Security Briefing Program
NU Online News Service, March 12, 3:30 p.m. EST?Global insurance broker Marsh Inc. announced the development of a PowerPoint security briefing presentation that businesses can use to increase their terrorism and security readiness and provide employees with information on how to deal with today's uncertain environment.
The new program, "Security in a Dangerous World," is a comprehensive briefing to be distributed in PowerPoint format, the New York City-based firm said. It is designed to be user-friendly and effective as a self-directed course on how to deal with the full range of issues related to terrorism and crisis readiness. A single copy of the briefing will permit employers to distribute it throughout their organization and to individual employees at no additional charge, the firm said.
The briefing can be distributed through Intranets, by e-mail or in a printed format, Marsh said.
Marsh's Crisis Consulting practice, led by former Ambassador L. Paul Bremer III, created the program, which responds to crisis and/or terrorist threats as they relate to the workplace, to employees and to the families of employees, the company said.
"With the possibility of hostilities in Iraq and the current elevated state of terrorist alert, businesses are understandably concerned about the steps they need to take to enhance the level of security for their employees and their workplaces," said Mr. Bremer in a statement. "The briefing provides an extensive overview of what both businesses and individuals need to do to enhance their readiness to cope with terrorism and related incidents."
