GAB Robins, NCA Group Set Work Agreement
NU Online News Service, March 3, 10:11 a.m. EST?Two claims adjusting firms have agreed to a relationship that they said will allow each to focus on their respective "core competencies."
Under the new arrangement, GAB Robins Capital Partners, based in Parsippany, N.J., will assume the daily claims relationships--including property damage appraisals and adjusting, auto damage appraisals, and liability and environmental claims handling--of Indianapolis, Ind.-based NCA Group.
NCA will become GAB Robins' preferred provider for temporary adjusting staff.
Mike Garner, president of GAB Capital Partners, said in an interview with National Underwriter that no money changed hands in connection with the announced relationship with NCA. However, "both organizations are expecting a financial upside from the relationship in the form of ongoing financial opportunities," Mr. Garner noted.
According to a joint statement issued by the companies, a prime benefit of the relationship is that it will permit GAB and NCA to "each leverage their capabilities to provide a more robust and enhanced catastrophe response."
"We are excited to announce this opportunity, as it supports our desire to offer our existing and new clients a superior catastrophe solution," said Robert Meyers, executive vice president of GAB.
"NCA Group has a rich tradition in the catastrophe business and this relationship will allow us immediate and future opportunities to grow our core business as the chosen provider of catastrophe services for our partners and GAB Robins," noted Michael Stanley, NCA's corporate vice president.
