Conn. PIA Elects New Leaders
NU Online News Service, March 21, 10:12 a.m. EST ? The Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. announced the election of new officers for the association's 2003-2004 term.
The new officeholders were announced during the group's convention this past week in Mashantucket, Conn.
? Robert Gyle IV, of Brookfield, Conn., was elected president. Mr. Gyle works as a commercial account manager for Davidson Insurance Services in Danbury, Conn., a division of the John M. Glover Agency in Norwalk, Conn.
? Jeffrey Parmenter was elected president-elect. He is a principal with S.H. Smith & Co. Inc. in West Hartford, Conn.
The association filled its two vice president posts. They are:
? Joseph Bishop III, who is vice president and secretary of Associated Insurance Agencies Inc. in Hamden, Conn.
? John DiMatteo, who is president of A.A. DiMatteo Insurance Service Center with offices in Trumbull and Bethany, Conn.
? James Goodman was elected secretary. He is president of Goodman Insurance Inc. in Shelton, Conn.
? Christopher Wilson was elected treasurer. He is general manager for C.V. Mason & Co. in Bristol, Conn.
? James Pascarella assumes the title of immediate past-president. He is president of Orange Insurance Center Inc. in Orange, Conn.
? Kimberly Tompkins was elected president of the Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals. Ms. Tompkins is a commercial-lines customer service representative for Associated Insurance Agency in Hamden, Conn.
