Jeff has more than 30 years experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry, with a strong background in Underwriting, as well as computer software development. Prior to being named Vice President-Information Technology for SECURA in June 2006, he served as the Vice President of Personal Lines Underwriting for five years. Jeff also was Director of IT-Software Application Development for six years. Before joining SECURA, Jeff was the Director of Underwriting at American Express Property Casualty Insurance Company. He worked there ten years and held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, customer service, underwriting, and technology. He started his career with Sentry Insurance in 1976. During his ten years at Sentry, he held positions as Computer Programmer and Personal Lines Underwriter.

Having served on the carrier side for over 13 years with Nationwide Insurance, as President of an insurance software company and an insurance practice leader for an international consulting group serving the P&C insurance industry, Dan has gained extensive experience and insight into the world of insurance processing and automation. As an industry consultant, Dan works closely with insurance C-level executives to develop IT strategies which support business objectives. This frequently includes evaluating the market of insurance software products and advising clients on potential strategic vendor partners to help them move their business forward and achieve strategic objectives in cost control, efficiency and profitable premium growth.

His experience also includes significant technology roles at Tyco International, EBS Dealing Resources, and Thomson Financial.
