While many of the Joplin, Mo. tornado survivors had insurance, it could be months, if not years, before they can rebuild. FEMA said Monday it will consider bringing in trailers, as it did for New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, if enough homes are not available.

A massive tornado that tore a six-mile path across southwestern Missouri killed at least 89 people as it slammed into the city of Joplin, ripping into a hospital and leaving a forest of splintered tree trunks behind where entire neighborhoods once stood.
