Winners Announced For Excellence in Workers’ Comp Risk Management

New York, NY, August 20—National Underwriter Property & Casualty has revealed the three winners in the sixth annual “NU Award For Excellence in Workers’ Comp Risk Management” program, sponsored by National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI).

The 2012 winners are profiled in the Aug. 20 edition of National Underwriter Property & Casualty and online at PropertyCasualty360.com. The winners and links to their individual profiles include:

“All three winners are role models for their peers,” said Bryant Rousseau, group editorial director for National Underwriter Property & Casualty.  “We had a record number of total entries - and a record number from Fortune 500 companies. But ultimately, our winners stood out for their tremendous savings and unique approaches to Workers’ Comp. The senior executives are greatly committed to safety at their organizations as well.”

The three winners received their awards from Mr. Rousseau and an NCCI official during a special ceremony at the Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference in Orlando today, where National Underwriter Property & Casualty puts together a National Trends program.

The trio of winning organizations will share more of the secrets of their success during a panel discussion led by Mr. Rousseau, as well as Jeff Eddinger of NCCI on Aug. 21. Highlights of that roundtable on loss control, safety and risk management will appear in the Oct. 15 edition of National Underwriter Property & Casualty and online at PropertyCasualty360.com.

Those with a unique risk management approach, or success story in how to better handle workers’ comp costs and exposures, are invited to enter next year’s award program. Entry material will be available online at PropertyCasualty360.com in February 2013. Or contact Bryant Rousseau at brousseau@sbmedia.com for details.
