Microsoft recently published a case study profiling Lockton Affinity’s implementation of a new e-commerce platform. Based on the Instec Policy system and the Microsoft® Azure cloud, the platform enables the company to create and launch new insurance programs in four to six weeks, compared to the four to six months it took previously. Lockton Affinity, LLC, is part of Lockton, and designs property and casualty insurance plans that are custom-tailored to the needs of affinity groups such as nonprofits, professional organizations and trade associations.

Duck Creek Technologies has announced that Post Office Insurance, a subsidiary of Post Office Limited, the United Kingdom’s largest retail network, has gone live with Duck Creek’s Policy, Billing, and Rating solutions to support the growth and go-to-market strategy of its insurance business. Through this deployment, Post Office Insurance will capitalize on emerging market opportunities with the flexibility, agility, and control afforded by Duck Creek.
