Wondering which schools provide the best education for students pursuing a career in insurance and risk management?

If you're hoping to recruit a new employee for your insurance business this year, there are 12 schools that may offer the most promising future employees. 

Every September, U.S. News & World Report provides nearly 50 different types of numerical rankings and lists to help students narrow their college search. To rank this year's best undergraduate insurance programs, U.S. News relied on peer assessment surveys.

Future insurance professionals

There's some good news about the future of insurance. A recent survey found that millennials see the insurance sector as providing fulfilling, long-term careers. Generation Z, born roughly between 1996 and 2009, are on track to be the most educated generation in U.S. history. The oldest members of Gen Z are turning 21 this year and are ready to start their insurance careers.

This year, two universities tied for the No. 1 spot among insurance programs. There was also a tie for the No. 11 ranking. Take a look at the 2017 top 12 U.S. undergraduate insurance programs as ranked by U.S. News:
