Zurich-based property and casualty insurer Chubb Ltd. said it has appointed Richard Britain vice president of transactional risk, and Edward Markovich and Randy Hein as senior vice presidents of transactional risk. Britain joins from DWF, where he was a partner. Markovich joined in 2014, and Hein joined in 2015.
Ken Toney, owner of the Jacksonville, Fla.-based Brightway Insurance franchise for Heathrow, Fla., said he has acquired a Brightway agency in Altamonte Springs, Fla. Terms were not disclosed.
San Francisco-based retail property and casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultant Edgewood Partners Insurance Center said it has named Brian McDonnell managing principal of its newly formed construction specialty group. He joins from Wells Fargo Insurance Services, where he was senior vice president and director of construction services. McDonnell will be based in the company's Concord, Calif., office.
Fort Worth, Texas-based independent appraisers Property Damage Appraisers said it has appoined Jennifer Salazar chief financial officer. Salazar joins from the International Bowling Campus.
Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co. said it has appointed Joanne Finnorn vice president and general counsel. She joins from HouseSetter LLC, where she was general counselAmerisure, Finnorn was general counsel at HouseSetter LLC, and from Finnorn Law & Advisory Services, where she was principal.
The Austin, Texas-based National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research said it has elected new officers for the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) Board of Governors, the Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR) Board of Governors, and the National Alliance Research Academy Board of Directors.

I-CAR also said that Bob Keith, most recently immediate past chairman of the I‑CAR International Board of Directors, was awarded its Founder’s Award at its recent 2016 I-CAR Volunteer & Instructor Conference in Orlando, Fla. He is currently senior director of operations training for Carstar.
The Albany, N.Y.-based New York Alliance Against Insurance Fraud said it has presented New York Inspector General Catherine Leahy Scott with its “Fraud Fighter of the Year” award, recognizing an aggressive campaign to counter workers-compensation scams throughout the state. The award was presented during alliance's recent annual meeting.
The alliance also elected four members to three-year board terms:

The Glendale, Calif.-based California Insurance Guarantee Association said Jeff Huebner, vice president of treasury for CSAA Insurance Group, has been appointed chairman of its board of governors. Huebner joined CSAA Insurance Group in 2001 as manager of risk finance and captive operations, and currently oversees an insurance and pension assets investment portfolio of $7 billion. Huebner also serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Northern California, as well as the board of directors of AAA Life Insurance Co.
