People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: March 18, 2016

New York City-based insurance staffing company Work At Home Vintage Experts said its CEO and founder, Sharon Emek, will speak at the 13th annual “What's Next Boomer Business Summit” on March 23 in Washington, D.C. The company said Emek will join the panel "Entrepreneurs on the Cusp of What's Next," a discussion among businesspeople who have created solutions in the boomer, senior and caregiving marketplaces.

Menlo Park, Calif.-based consulting firm Protiviti said it has named John Rao managing director and leader of its insurance indusry practice. He joins from Navigant, where he was managing director and financial services practice leader.

Munich, Germany-based insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty said Art Moossmann, board of management member and president and CEO for AGCS North America, will hand over leadership responsibility to Bill Scaldaferri July 1, and will step down from the board Dec. 31. Scaldaferri will continue as chief underwriting officer of specialty lines.

East Aurora, N.Y.-based Greene & Associates, an underwriting manager and wholesale broker for excess and surplus lines coverage, said it has hired Scott Perry to its underwriting team for its new Glastonbury, Conn., office. He joins from Great American Insurance.

New York City-based property and casualty insurancer Ironshore Inc. said it has appointed Melanie Alexander head of global property programs, overseeing its London-based property facility business.  She joins from Shepherd Compello Ltd., where she was a director.

New York City-based insurance software company Bolt Solutions Inc. said it has named Kathleen Garlasco senior vice president of enterprise marketing and Scott Van Slyck executive vice president of enterprise sales. Garlasco joins from Katalis Solutions, where she was executive director. Van Slyck joins from SunGard, where he was a senior vice president.

Bermuda-based specialty insurer and reinsurer Fidelis Insurance said it has promoted Ben Savill to group chief underwriting officer. He remains Bermuda chief executive offices and will stay based in Bermuda.

Tennessee-based Crichton Group said it has hired industry veteran Dan Hite as commercial insurance advisor. Hite is a former executive vice president at Brown & Brown of Tennessee, Inc., where he spent the last 30 years working with healthcare, specialty general liability, construction and financial institutions.
