People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: Feb. 12, 2016

McLean, Va.-based insurance broker and risk management consulting company Ames & Gough said it has promoted Allison W. Barefoot to vice president and senior broker. She joined the company in 2013.

The Washington, D.C.-based National Association of Insurance Commissioners has announced the election of new officers: 

    • Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner Ted Nickel to president-elect.
    • Tennessee Insurance Commissioner Julie Mix McPeak to vice president.
    • Maine Insurance Superintendent Eric A. Cioppa to secretary-treasurer.

NAIC also said that Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer Andy Beal is now acting CEO

Wyncote, Pa.-based software developer Insurance Data Processing said it has appointed Dave Kerford president. He joins from the Leverage Group. 

The Atlanta-based Indoor Air Quality Association said it inducted Joe “Radio Joe” Hughes and Cliff “the Z-man” Zlotnik, co-hosts of IAQ Radio, into its Hall of Fame during its annual meeting Jan. 24-27 in Orlando, Fla. Hughes currently serves as a member of the Institute for Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification's board of directors. Zlotnik has worked in the field of disaster restoration and insurance repair for over 40 years.

Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Aspen Insurance said it has appointed Robert Rokicki senior vice president and head of onshore energy and construction for the Americas. He joins from Liberty International Underwriters, where he was senior vice president of Liberty's oil, gas and petrochemical unit.

Bloomington, Ill.-based actuarial and management consulting firm Pinnacle Actuarial Resources Inc. said it has promoted Arthur R. Randolph II to principal. Based in Atlanta, Randolph has been a senior consulting actuary with Pinnacle since July 2012. He also serves as leader of the Atlanta office.  

Russ Findlay, head of marketing for Hiscox USA, and John Bell, vice president of enterprise digital marketing at New York City-based insurer Travelers Insurance, are among 22 new members added by the New York City-based Advertising Self-Regulation Council to its National Advertising Review Board. 

Pawtucket, R.I.-based Homeowners underwriter Narragansett Bay Insurance Co. said it has named Brendan McLaughlin assistant vice president and Connecticut territory manager. He joins from Hanover Insurance Group, where he a sales manager.

Charleston, S.C.-based risk management advisory firm Hanover Stone Solutions said it has appointed Donna Galer, Alexander T. Farley and Doug Franklin senior advisors. Galer is based in Atlanta, Farley is based in Philadelphia, and Franklin is based in San Francisco.
