The Main Street America Group announced that Dave Medvidofsky has been appointed vice president of human resources. He replaces Toni Porterfield, who has retired from the organization after leading the human resources function since 2004.

MarketScout has hired Kirt Thompson as its new Claim Services Manager, based in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining MarketScout, Thompson served as the Corporate Workers’ Compensation Manager for one of the world’s largest plastic manufacturers. In addition, the firm has expanded its specialty high net worth underwriting and brokerage practice with the addition of Lindsey Worlitz as the newest underwriter for the Private Client Solutions Division Non-Admitted.

Combined Agents of America, LLC (CAA) at its annual board meeting May 27–28 in Dallas, Texas, announced its newly elected 2015-16 Management Committee, including CAA's new chairman of the board Roger Luttrell, new vice president Trent Richmond, and past chairman Bill Kliewer.

Russell Brown has joined Aspen U.S. Insurance, part of the insurance segment of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, as Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Distribution. Russell will lead distribution and sales across Aspen U.S. Insurance. 

Property restoration and disaster loss recovery firm, Response Team 1, hired Bill Budig as Chief Information Officer, Jeffrey Clement as Vice President of Human Resources and Julie Harms as General Counsel. All three will be based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Wheeling, Ill.

Chris Barrow, President and CEO of EagleView Technology Corporation, a leading technology provider of aerial imagery, data analytics and GIS solutions, has been named the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2015 in the Pacific Northwest Region. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Ironshore Inc. has named Kevin Whitehead Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of the Specialty Casualty unit, effective immediately. He will be responsible for setting underwriting guidelines and strategies for existing and new product lines for Specialty Casualty nationwide.

Patriot National announced that Todd Wilson has joined the firm’s management team as Senior Vice President - Mergers & Acquisitions and that Nabeel Tanveer was appointed Senior Vice President – Strategic Business Development. Tanveer will serve as a national insurance service practice leader.

The Michigan Insurance Hall of Fame announced two new inductees: Robert O. Smith, an estate and business planning specialist who served as president of the National Association of Insurance Financial Advisors, and John Rowe, an independent insurance agent from Linden.

The Insurance Society of Philadelphia announced Beth Graber as its new executive director and Dianne Salter as its new Board Chair.

CNA named Jay Dipasupil vice president, Underwriting, Errors & Omissions for Professional Services and Financial Institutions.

Dominic Blue has been named Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual).

Roy Leeds, Director of US Claims Operations at Xchanging plc, has been elected president of the Construction Defect Claims Managers Association (CDCMA).
