Marsh publishes hurricane preparedness and response checklist for risk managers

Marsh has prepared a detailed checklist that risk managers can use as a starting point as the 2015 hurricane season approaches.

Although the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is predicting a below-normal hurricane season for the Atlantic, coastal residents, property owners and businesses still should prepare to deal with some kind of event this summer.

As Tracy Knippenburg Gillis, Reputational Risk & Crisis Management, Resiliency, and Response Leader, Marsh Risk Consulting, points out, having well-developed, actionable hurricane preparedness and response plans in place before a storm occurs can help to mitigate the effects of a potential catastrophe event. With such plans in place, your organization will be better able to minimize damage to people and property, and recover as quickly as possible.
