On Monday a slow-moving storm — dubbed “Winter Storm Marcus” — made its way through the Boston area, helping the city set the record for the most snowfall in 30 days. And it isn’t over — another storm system is threatening to dump more snow over the area on Thursday.

As of midday Monday, Logan International Airport recorded 69.2 inches of snow, the most ever in 30 days, Matthew Belk, a National Weather Service meteorologist in Taunton, Mass. told Bloomberg. The previous record was 58.8 inches in the period that ended on Feb. 7, 1978.
