Newly appointed Harleysville executive departs for Nelson Levine

After succeeding Michael Browne as the senior executive at Harleysville Insurance three months ago, Kevin Toth has left the company to become the executive vice president and chief operations and strategic officer at Blue Bell, Pa.-based Nelson Levine de Luca & Hamilton, a law firm specializing in representing the insurance industry.

After 10 years with Harleysville Insurance, Toth will join a Nelson Levine senior management team that includes chairman Mike Nelson and managing partner David L. Brown. Toth’s responsibilities include administrative oversight, including IT, finance, human resources, communication, marketing, business and talent development. He will also work alongside Nelson and Brown to devise and execute the firm’s strategic plan and will maintain a small practice representing clients in regulatory matters and institutional business practices.
