Brown & Brown Acquires Moten Associates

Daytona, Fla.-based insurance broker Brown & Brown says its subsidiary, Brown & Brown of Pennsylvania, Inc., has acquired Moten Associates of Norristown, Penn.

Terms of the transaction were not released.

With origins dating back to 1970, Moten Associates offers surety bonds, as well as a wide variety of property and casualty insurance products, to clients throughout the Delaware Valley and the eastern United States. The company has combined annual revenues of approximately $1.1 million.  

James “Jim” D. Toennies and Janet A. Toennies, the principals, and their staff will join Brown & Brown of Pennsylvania offices in Plymouth Meeting, Penn., under the leadership of Robert D. “Rob” Heller.
