Burns & Wilcox opens Canada office

Willis Re adds SVP: Willis Re, the reinsurance arm of Willis Group Holdings, promoted Ward Humphreys to senior vice president for life, accident and health. He is now responsible for working with existing clients and developing new ones. Humphreys is based in Philadelphia.

PMA appoints VP: PMA Cos. named Patricia Brookey vice president of managed care. She is now in charge of overseeing medical networks and vendor management, bill review, product quality and case management functions. Prior, Brookey was the national director of case management and operations in the workers' compensation strategy division for CNA Insurance.

Burns & Wilcox opens office: Burns & Wilcox Canada opened an office in St. John's, Newfoundland. The company is working to build a strong presence in Atlantic Canada. Steve McQueen, who has 17 years of experience in the Atlantic Canada broker community, now heads the office. He is responsible for growing and building business in the Atlantic region.

Zurich announces environmental management team: Zurich named Robert Newmarker, Greg Tiernan, Robert Hampel and Debra Hausser to its new specialty products site-specific environmental business management team. Newmarker is now head of business, Tiernan is zone leader for eastern states, Hampel is zone leader for non-eastern states, and Hausser is financial institutions leader.

Marsh appoints chairman: Marsh named Edwin Charnaud as chairman of its global infrastructure practice. He will now be responsible for providing risk-based, analytical and transactional support to infrastructure clients. Prior, Charnaud was leader of Marsh's private equity and mergers & acquisitions practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He also will retain his position as non-executive director on the board of Kessler & Co. AG in Switzerland.
