Subrogation Tool Coming to Eight New States

Subrogation and claim specialists in New York, Texas, and six other states will soon join nine others who have access to a tool that helps streamline the subrogation process -- at no charge.

E-Subro Hub, a free, paperless, web-based electronic communication, document, and claim management system developed by Arbitration Forums, Inc. (AF) expanded to eight new states on Aug. 2, 2010. In addition to New York and Texas, the product will now be available in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Vermont.

AF says the tool allows participants in the subrogation process to more efficiently process their subrogation demands and responses while also providing performance data. It currently operates in California, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

In addition to rolling out E-Subro Hub to new locations, AF also said it will introduce an enhancement to the system that allows users to quickly identify if a company receiving a subrogation demand uses the E-Subro Hub system and is active in that particular state.

"The expansion of E-Subro Hub represents a significant increase in the market dissemination of this cutting-edge subrogation solution," said W. Russ Smith, AF President and CEO, in a release. "E-Subro Hub lets carriers and self-insureds manage their subrogation workflow more effectively, reducing subrogation-related expenses and thereby lowering cycle times."

AF members file more than 520,000 disputes worth nearly $2.5 billion in claims each year. More information is available at www.arbfile.org.
