The RAVE Awards were designed by to recognize those technology solutions that deliver exemplary value to their customers as measured by those customers themselves, according to Matt Josefowicz, director, insurance, for Novarica.
"The RAVE Awards are unlike any other award in the insurance technology space," says Josefowicz. "Rather than being chosen by a board of experts or an open online poll, the winners and honorable mention solutions are those that received the highest aggregate rankings from a group of current clients using Novarica's Average Customer Experience
(ACE) ranking methodology."

RAVE winners and honorable mention were named in eight categories.
- Back Office: StoneRiver's PTE financial is the winner and SunGard's iWorks EAS is honorable mention.
- Agency Management System Connectivity: NX Tech's ConneXt is the winner with AgencyPort's AgencyConnect is honorable mention.
- P&C Agent Portal: AgencyPort's AgencyPortal is the winner and CSC's Agency Link is honorable mention.
- Illustrations: SunGard's iWorks Navigator Illustrations is the winner and iPipeline's Illustration Suite is honorable mention.
- P&C Claims Systems: Accenture's Claim Components is the winner and Guidewire's ClaimCenter is honorable mention.
- P&C Policy Administration Systems: Ebix's EbixAdvantage is the winner and Insuresoft's Diamond is honorable mention.
- Document Management: OIT's DocFinity is the winner and Hyland Software's OnBase is honorable mention.
- Other: PilotFish Technology's XCS eiConsole is the winner and iPartner's Insurance Scorecard is honorable mention.
"The goal of the RAVE Awards is not to establish definitively the 'best' solution in each class," says Josefowicz. "There is no such thing as a 'best' solution for all potential clients. The right fit of staff, organization, functionality, and technology is going to vary widely, and what's best for one company will not be best for another."
The RAVE Awards recognize solutions whose current customers are enthusiastic about the value these solutions have brought to their organizations, adds Josefowicz.
"Since the creation of business value is the first and foremost goal of any technology investment, we congratulate the RAVE Award winners and honorable mention recipients on their outstanding achievements," he says.
