The first group of ACORD Certified Experts (ACEs) received their designations at a ceremony in Las Vegas, as part of the ACORD LOMA Forum.
The awards were presented by ACORD president and CEO Gregory A. Maciag, ACORD board chair John T. Leonard, president & CEO of MEMIC, and ACORD chief learning officer Beth Grossman.
"This is an important milestone for ACORD and for our new designation program," says Maciag. "I want to congratulate all of our new ACORD Experts. Their accomplishments will benefit the industry. We have now defined what it really means to be an expert in ACORD standards implementation."
After introductory remarks by Grossman, each of the designees was announced and conferred with a certificate. A list of all current ACORD Certified Experts can be found online at www.acord.org/ace. "There are still several people who are in the final stages of completing their designations or submitting transcripts so the list will continue to grow over time," says Grossman.
It was a little over a year ago that ACORD announced the ACORD Certified Expert program. "I want to personally congratulate all of our designees on their accomplishment and thank them for their time, their effort, and their input on the program," says Grossman. "I also want to acknowledge and thank all of our subject matter experts who contributed greatly to today's achievement."
