The Travelers Companies Inc. has joined the independent agents' Trusted Choice consumer branding program, becoming the 54th company to do so.
A major provider of property and casualty insurance for auto, home and business, the St. Paul, Minn.-based insurer is one of the largest independent agency insurance companies in the United States.
Trusted Choice was launched by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and several independent agency companies.
Its aim is to promote the message that independent agencies and brokerage firms offer consumers--choice of companies, customization of policies and advocacy support. The branding campaign now consists of over 10,400 independent insurance agencies and brokerage firms and 54 leading insurance companies.
