EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center), a retail property, casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage, has added Bruce Norris as a principal in its San Mateo office. Norris brings 16 years of experience in catastrophe analysis and technology, specializing in large property exposures, creative program design and complex insurance placements.
As a part of EPIC's Risk Management Division, Norris' responsibilities will include partnering with the company's brokers and their account management teams to identify, mitigate and manage property-related risk for current clients. In addition to his customer support role, Norris will also focus on acquiring new clients.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome another professional of Bruce's caliber to our firm," said EPIC co-founder, John Hahn. "His expertise in complex property exposures, catastrophe analysis, risk modeling and technology make him an excellent addition to our expanding Risk Management Division in the Bay Area and across the state."
Prior to joining EPIC, Norris spent 16 years with the Hobbs Group, HRH and Willis, most recently with Willis as national catastrophe analysis manager.
Norris holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in new ventures and small business management from California State University.
