LIG Marine Managers of St. Petersburg has launched a new workers' compensation Longshore and maritime employers liability program. Just for Energy, designed for the oil and energy industry, provides workers' compensation state act coverage with automatic "if any" coverage in all Gulf Coast states, and Longshore coverage with automatic coverage in all Gulf Coast states and all other necessary states on request. Further benefits of the workers' compensation program include automatic inclusion of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act Coverage. Risks with a minimum one percent Longshore exposure are eligible.
The Maritime Employers Liability (MEL) policy is written at the $1 million standard limit and can be added to the workers' compensation policy if the MEL exposure is incidental. For those risks with a greater MEL exposure, a mono-line MEL policy is available, also at $1 million limits. The Gulf of Mexico endorsement and In Rem endorsement are automatically included as well.
Minimum premium is $10,000. Target class codes include: (1320) oil or gas lease operator; (1321) oil producing-operation of oil lease; (6203) oil or gas well: drilling-executive supervisor TX; (6213) oil or gas well: specialty tool operation; (6216) oil or gas lease work NOC; (6237/8601) oil or gas well: instrument logging or survey work; plus the normal supporting classes 8810, 8742, and similar.
