Insurance Committee Members Set for 2010 Session

The Florida 2010 regular legislative session convenes March 2 and is scheduled to adjourn on April 30. Insurance-related debate this year is expected to center on windstorm mitigation discounts, public adjusters and homeowners' claims, the property insurance market, health-care reform, and insurance fraud in auto coverages. Drawing particular attention again this year will be the "Consumer Choice" property insurance bill sponsored by Sen. Michael S. Bennett (R-Bradenton) and Rep. Bill Proctor (R-St. Augustine).
