Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF), Inc., of Jacksonville has developed two new health cards available for consumer purchase at Winn Dixie(R) in October and at CVS/pharmacy(R) stores in November statewide.
The $59.00 Gift of Health Care card may be used to purchase the company's health insurance plans. The $19.00 FamilyBlue Discount card, good for three months, provides discounts on dental and vision care as well as prescriptions for an entire family.
BSBCF also reported it plans to lay off as many as 150 employees by the end of the year. The cuts represent 2.5 percent of the workforce, which employs about 6,000 people statewide.
