Thank You and Goodbye
Sadly on one hand, but happily on another, I have elected not to renew my subscription this year. I am closer to the end of my career than its beginning and believe that someone else should benefit from my free copy of AA&B.

Yours is one of the first insurance publications that I subscribed to some 43 or so years ago. Having been such a long-time and satisfied subscriber I can't bring myself to say goodbye without thanking you for the enjoyment and professional benefits I have derived as a subscriber.
I also wish to congratulate you for having maintained such a relevant and informative publication for so many years, and to extend my best wishes for the continued success of your publication.

I wanted to commend Chris Amrhein on his well-written article, "Things your agent won't tell you" (AA&B 08/08). The piece really struck the "common-sense chord" in me. I own an agency that focuses on insurance for the RE investor. I would love to share it with our clients. Keep fighting the good fight!

AA&B'S Redesign
After almost 50 years of reading the trades, I just about know how to appreciate unusual work and progress when I see it. Your new look and feel of Agent & Broker is better than just good--it is outstanding. You have brought the magazine well into the 21st century. Congratulations to you, your editorial staff and particularly your graphics arts team. You've brightened my day.

Certificates of Insurance
NYS has several strong letter rulings by the Insurance Department Council prohibiting amending certificates to create new terms of coverage. When faced with requested amendments, we attach copies of these rulings to the certificate. We have a cover letter that if changes are wanted, we will talk to the company about filing with the NYS Insurance Department for approval, but they will have to pay the cost of such filings. We have never had a case where we heard anything further.
