Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink is supporting a resolution of appreciation honoring Clyde Gaskins, who has been a state employee for over 50 years with the Department of Insurance and the Department of Financial Services. Gaskins began his career with the state in 1958 earning $225 a month. He has served under 12 governors and eight insurance commissioners. Gaskins indicates he has no intention of retiring at this time. The state Division of Retirement says there only five state employees on the retired payroll who had more years of service than Gaskins.
