The Office of Insurance Regulation is holding this year's Filing and Compliance Symposium on May 22 and 23, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. This will mark the first year OIR has invited agents statewide to participate in the event, which is designed to enable regulators and those in the industry to discuss a variety of issues concerning legislative, regulatory, and market challenges. Former Mississippi Insurance Commissioner George Dale will be the speaker at the closing lunch. Among other things, the symposium will focus on rate forms and filings, compliance requirements, and actuarial issues. It will also provide numerous opportunities to hold discussions with agents.
