The National Life Insurance Company has chosen the Retirement Road Map sales system from Impact Technologies Group, Inc., for the carrier's national field representatives, supplying them with a retirement planning solution that targets baby boomers. As part of the licensing agreement, National Life also will be purchasing Impact's Web-based financial sales and collaboration platform, PlanLab, which automates the financial sales process across an enterprise.

Harleysville Insurance has announced its independent insurance agents now have the capability to upload personal auto and homeowners new-business quotes and policy submissions in real time through TEAM-UP Upload, an interface-bridging solution developed by Connective Technologies, Inc.

Pacific Blue Cross has decided on the ResponseTekCEM solution from ResponseTek Networks Corp. to enhance overall customer satisfaction and improve retention for its two million customers.

Acordia Northwest and PIC Wisconsin have selected RISKMASTER from Computer Sciences Corporation to reduce their risk management costs, gain better control of their underwriting risks, and process claims more efficiently.

The Dentists Insurance Company is in production with the OASIS insurance processing software solution from Delphi Technology, Inc. The OASIS implementation includes workflow automation capabilities that increase the carrier's efficiency.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska has expanded its relationship with Benefitfocus.com, Inc. The agreement will include small-group electronic enrollment, the Benefitfocus sales automation suite and e-billing, as well as an increase of its large-group e-enrollment license.

Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company (MetLife Auto & Home) has signed an application service provider (ASP) agreement with Trumbull Services to use the vendor's Subrosource solution, a subrogation recovery system designed to increase handler productivity and reduce recovery cycle times.

Securis Investment Partners has licensed the RiskLink catastrophe-modeling software from Risk Management Solutions for use in evaluating and managing the company's portfolio of insurance-linked securities.

The Hanover Insurance Group opted for Whitehill Technologies, Inc., solutions to improve its ability to communicate more effectively with its agents. The Hanover faced the challenge of building a companywide agency portal, part of a larger project known as Policy Inquiry. The goal was to allow The Hanover's agents to search for, view, and print policy documents.

Anchor General Insurance of San Diego has installed the FileNet P8 platform, an enterprise content management solution from FileNet Corporation. Anchor General established a single federated source for enterprise content from multiple repositories and activated that content as part of its business processes.

FCCI Insurance Group has signed a contract with Systems Task Group to provide a component-based commercial lines software solution. Under the contract, FCCI will replace its current billing systems with STG's Renaissance e-billing, a Web-enabled, scalable, and object-oriented insurance billing and accounts-receivable system.

Employee benefits provider KMG America and its wholly owned subsidiary, Kanawha Insurance Company, will be implementing InSystems Writer 1.1, the latest speed-to-market-enhancing solution from InSystems, a developer of document and compliance automation for insurance and financial services.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, the state's largest health plan provider, has selected the Beeline work force optimization solution from MPS Group, Inc., to automate and streamline the company's IT contractor staffing processes. Beeline automates the complete life cycle of contractor engagements, including job order creation and distribution, screening, supplier management, time capture, invoicing, and reporting.

Sentara Health Plans, a Virginia-based health insurance provider, is using Pivotal Healthcare Insurance from Pivotal Corp., the CRM division of CDC Software, to streamline its sales cycle, add new members, and reduce administrative waste. Since deploying the system, Sentara has shortened its sales cycle by 50 percent, increased its quote-to-sale conversion rate by 18 percent, and achieved a 93 percent member retention rate.
